A Perfect Hard Boiled Egg
I grew up being told that eggs were suppose to simmer at a low boil. That method caused me years of a very less than perfect egg when my family craved deviled eggs.
With the Summer picnics upon us what better time to get the lowdown on making that perfect every time Hard Boiled egg.
The method –
1 – The eggs should not be real fresh
2 – Let them sit out of the fridge so they are at room temperature before boiling
3 – Cover with water and allow the water to come to a full boil THEN time for 5 minutes.
4 – Take the eggs out of the water let cool and put back into the fridge before peeling
5 – The egg will peel the easiest when it is good and COLD
Since using this method the egg has been absolutely perfect !
Super Easy Deviled Eggs
After Peeling and cutting the eggs scoop out the hard boiled yoke.
Place in a bowl and add mayo, basic yellow mustard, salt and pepper to taste and desired consistency
Put the mixture in a baggie and cut a tiny hole in the corner of the plastic baggie
squeeze the bag to add the mixture nicely back into the hollow of the egg half.
Sprinkle with paprika or if you want a little twist sprinkle Mrs Dash Fiesta Lime for a nice mild added “kick”.
The Combination of boiling the egg perfectly and the ease of the recipe has my family asking for More!
Since my original post I found this little beauty to make the process easier.
